About Us

BoomerView.Com and BoomerView Press

BoomerView.com and BoomerView Press were founded seven years ago by Laurel Zien in response to her family's struggles and those of her baby boomer friends and their aging parents. New phrases, "adult children", "sandwich generation" and "activities of daily living" became part of our language, as more and more of our parents or spouses became ill or needed our assistance in unexpected ways.

This Web site is designed to help adult children find answers quickly, and to find support within a similarly challenged community. Although there are doctors, nurses and professional caregivers among us, most of us are lay people. For most of us, our only training is from our day-to-day struggles and the successes we have had. BoomerView.com seeks to take advantage of the knowledge gained from these hard-won experiences and make them available to a greater community.

BoomerView.com seeks to provide quick responses, resources and links to solutions.

BoomerView Press is currently publishing the BoomerView ElderCare Guide Series. The first award-winning guide, authored by Laurel, is Tracking Your Medicine: How to Keep It Simple and Safe and is available from The Store on our website or from www.Amazon.com. and can be ordered from any bookstore.
