Tracking Your Medicine

Tracking Your Medicine: How to Keep It Simple and Safe
made its debut at the American Society on Aging/National Council on Aging Conference in April 2004, and included a feature article in their national publication Aging Today.

Tracking Your Medicine has been awarded a 2005 CAREGIVER FRIENDLY AWARD in the Book
category! The award from Today's Caregiver Magazine and caregiver.com states: "This award signifies that you understand the value of supporting family caregivers and have created something that not only helps a caregiver care for their loved ones but also improves his or her quality of life in the process."

Additional comments about the Guide continue to come in! Here are some brief quotes:

"This booklet is geared to older adults or caregivers of older adults who are having difficulty managing medications...This practical guide should help organize medicines and insure they are taken properly." — Update, Family Caregiver Alliance, National Center on Caregiving

"Samples illustrating how to fill out each form are included. A section on safe medication usage is a highlight of this resource." —Alzheimer’s Association, Rochester, New York

"This guidebook will definitely improve both communication and medication compliance. It is an excellent tool for caregivers and children who wonder about their aging parent’s medications." —Engaging the Aging, Lutheran Senior Services

In addition, it also has been listed or featured in the following publications (that we know of):

–The Caregiver, Newsletter of the Duke Family Support Program, Duke University

– Sidney Herald

- Caregiver Courier, Fulton County Office For Aging
